I'm a 29 year-old graduate student at Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment, and I have to admit, it's a great life. I get to go to classes and learn about issues I'm passionate about and hang out with amazing friends who want to change the world.  Specifically, I'm earning my Masters in Environmental Economics and Policy, specializing in Business & the Environment.  I also study global energy policy, life cycle analysis and systems thinking for sustainability. It would be accurate to say I'm an unapologetic treehugging dirt worshiper that wants to save the planet. We shouldn't be drilling for oil in protected areas, we should start actually valuing ecosystem services so we don't take them for granted, and yes, we need to stop global warming which means getting real about our ridiculous consumption.  I'm also passionate about making people see the connections between the environment and their religious beliefs, national security, poverty…everything.
